Korean community post, image 1: My monthly cheat-day pasta, timed for an empty house.
English translation
My monthly cheat-day pasta, timed for an empty house. Sister got dressed, wouldn't leave, kept begging for a bite—so I hit her with the pot.

💡 Why does fighting over a bowl of pasta escalate into a pot to the head?
In Korea, a monthly '1일1식' cheat day is treated as a sacred solo ritual, and being a '한입충' (one-bite mooch) is seen as genuinely annoying, not cute sharing.vs. US: guarding your holiday plate from a roommate who 'just wants a taste.'Klore note

The sister asking for a bite when it's not hers is annoying, but hitting her with a pot over one bite of that much food? OP's not messing around either.

Still think this is on the sister. It's not about how much food there is, it's about whether you share food you made just for yourself.

If you're eating alone it's one serving. If she wanted some she should've made her own. She kinda deserved the pot to the head.

Wait, the sister assumed OP couldn't finish it all, but seeing the actual amount in the pic is wild — she's really eating all that?

The package literally says 5 servings... she could've given one bite.

This isn't really about the pasta amount at all, that's missing the point. It's just a power struggle between them.

Sister's definitely a 'gimme a bite' menace who deserved it, but eating all that solo is a talent — OP should be an athlete, not dieting.

Point is: OP's monthly cheat day, fully self-prepared, and sister tried to mooch off it. Saying 'hitting is also wrong' is too black-and-white — she just got smacked for trying to freeload on someone's special day.

Easy to think hitting with a pot is too much, but pestering for 10 straight minutes after being refused already crossed the line. The pot might've been the only thing that finally worked.

If it's a feast made just for me, throwing away leftovers is my right too. Sister just didn't read the room and tried to crash a personal celebration.

I mean... what can you do, she just didn't want to share.

Don't reduce this to just greed. This pasta was OP's reward after a month of restraint, and the sister casually tried to invade that hard-earned moment. 'Just share some' is easy to say as an outsider.
