Ah fuck, I texted my professor this morning and there was still no reply, so I went and looked아 시발 아침에 교수님한테 문자 보냈는데 아직까지 답이 없길래 봤더니

💡 How do you accidentally text "Jesus"?

Professor is 교수님 (gyosu-nim), Jesus is 예수님 (yesu-nim) — one syllable apart, both standard respectful address. One slipped key turns a scheduling text into a prayer.vs. English: writing "Dear Lord" instead of "Dear Lloyd" — to your boss.

💡 Why does "devout Buddhist" make it worse?

Korea splits between Buddhists, Protestants, Catholics and the non-religious, and the divide is live teasing material. Greeting a Buddhist professor with "Hello Jesus" reads like a bit, not a typo.vs. the US: opening an email to your rabbi with "Merry Christmas!"
