Watching 'I Am a Man' (a TV show): a guy who'd lost 42kg was having a meal with his mom, and she said she could see some kind of swelling on his neck, that it might be thyroid cancer, and seriously dragged him to the hospital — where the doctor said "This is what we call an Adam's apple" lmaoooooooooooooooooo나는남자다 보는데 42kg 뺀 남자분이 어머니랑 밥먹는데 어머니가 너 목에 부종같은게 보인다고 갑상선암일지도 모른다고 심각하게 병원에 데려가셨는데 의사선생님이"이게 바로 목젖입니다"ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

💡 Why didn't his own mother recognize it?
He'd been heavy his whole life, so the bump only surfaced after the weight loss. Mom was seeing his Adam's apple for the first time and read it as a tumor.vs. the US: like panicking over your kid's newly visible collarbone.Klore note
💡 What show was this?
나는 남자다 ("I Am a Man"), a 2014 KBS variety show hosted by national MC Yoo Jae-suk, built around ordinary guys telling their stories.vs. the US: a talk show where the audience is the panel.Klore note
